'I'm a hairdresser, not a miracle worker!'
Hairdressers in HK shared the pains and sufferings of the quake-victims in Sichuan, China. The goal is to bring together members of the HK Hairdressing community and their clients to reach out and help those who have been hurt by the deadly earthquake.
A two-phase fund-raising approach to provide immediate and long-term relief:
Phase 1: from now on and up to mid June, donation boxes at salon reception-counters will be placed to invite clients/hairdressers to give. (Salons should contact Ms Kam at #2529-1018 to set up donation box); Money raised will be sent to relief agencies for immediate rescue works;
Phase 2: aimed to raised $300,000 through various means in the next 3 months, and the proceeds will be used to construct 2 new schools in the hardest hit counties/villages in Sichuan. This project will work together with China Literacy Foundation Ltd.
All money raised will be directed to support children and their families affected by the earthquake.

Hairdressers the world over are renowned for helping, advising and supporting our colleagues, clients and friends, over and above our call of duty. Let’s show our strength as a community and get together in helping the earthquake victims in China.

四川一場天災，令無數完整家庭被徹底震碎，令天真活潑小宝宝淪為舉目無親的孤兒。可幸的是，不少人在這非常時期，主動及自覺地發揮人類最崇高的情操，互助互愛，令人間變得温暖。
在這數天內，不少髮型師強烈覺得髮型界應一致行動起來以業界名義為地震災民獻上人間有情，重燃他們對人生的希望。髮援5.12 Hair Relief 是這行動的名稱，不分你、我，萬眾一心，為災民盡點力。
髮援5.12具體行動分為兩期：
第一期：由今天至六月十五日，我們將募捐錢箱送到髮廊，讓店內員工及其客人一齊出錢，集腋成裘。(有意設置錢箱人士請電2529-1018甘小姐洽)
第二期：繼續以不同方式籌款，目標三十萬港元，將在未來六至十二個月為災區重建兩所學校。
我們呼籲髮型界及其客人為災民貢獻他們的一分力量，發揮人類互助互愛、無私精神。有錢出錢，有力出力。
